What is a Monitovo Edge Agent?
The Edge Agent is a lightweight Docker container you deploy inside your network. It performs the actual SNMP polling, ping checks, HTTP probes, and TCP checks against your local devices, then ships results outbound over HTTPS to the Monitovo cloud. Since it makes outbound connections only, you don't need to open any inbound firewall rules or configure VPNs. One Edge Agent per network segment is typically sufficient for most environments.
Can I try it before I commit?

Does my device count include the Edge Agent itself?
No. Edge Agents are not counted against your device limit. Your device count reflects the monitored targets — switches, servers, UPS units, endpoints, URLs, and so on. The Edge Agent is infrastructure, not a monitored device.
Can I use Monitovo NMS alongside your consulting services?
Absolutely — that's the natural path. Many consulting engagements include instrumenting the client environment with Monitovo NMS as part of the operational visibility work. If you're already a consulting client, just ask and we'll get you set up.
